As I said. Anyone who does not like it does not have to come in here and actually look to be offended. That goes for any thread. So anyone reporting the thread soley because they came in would not get far. Mods have no options than to have to peruse threads sometimes, especially if members point at it, and we do not have to agree with something to do our 'jobs'. We have to be fair and will be.

But I have been on here a long while and have seen how things can go awry quickly. It is always best to give fair word before anything happens. One does not have to swear to fear or intimidate people, so it's not the swearing per se, that is the issue. It is the use and who it is aimed at if at all.

Just a word to the wise. Personally I don't see what this has to do with supporting other women but that is my preference. I have never seen foul language as an expression of intelligence and only associate it with aggression due a past relationship. Having no consideration for others feelings and considering them feckwits or c*nts I also find quite insulting to those ladies who would want nothing to do with foul language. However, no-one need be in here unless they wish to. As mods we have to keep an eye on things and it is not a task I personally look forward to.

Swear away BUT the moment ONE insult is given to another member directly, or they are made to feel less than because of their opinion, the thread will be closed. Showing no respect to other women who are, shall we say, more sensitive, is not an option and neither is insulting them. Bullying or aggression has no place on Shybi and it will not be tolerated in any form

This has nothing to do with being 'thought police', as we have recently been called: It has everything to do with respecting others and showing due consideration.

That's it. Swear if you need to but keep it safe and non personal. Think of me, or anyone who does not take part, as you will, but have some respect for their opinion and feelings too

Nothing about my post was personal? I didn't state any specifics? I hope that you don't truly believe I have no consideration for others? That said I heed your words and warnings.

I'm sure the ladies who do contribute will be fair and lighthearted!

This could likely be a very educational thread; I have already learned two new swear words, shitballs and wankyfuckbag! LOL
This is the only time of my life that I will be able to say I am the same age as the year of my birth, '58!

I haven't heard that since middle school Crush :P It's not really a swear word, but I'd like to add bitch here!

For the following scenario that just occurred:

Friend stayed over last night. This morning she was eating some of my dark chocolate digestives - it was a "value pack" - basically code for larger size..

No big deal right?

There was about 1/2-1/3 of the pack left so about 6-7 biscuits in there. I'm going out for dinner but not til like 8.30 and I'm getting hungry.

Naturally went to the cupboard for the biscuits to tide me over. Couldn't find them, looked in all the cupboards in case she put them somewhere else..

Not a crumb, then I flipped open the bin because it dawned on me...

There's the packet on top. Bitch ate all my fucking biscuits!

We could call it THE BLUE ROOM, swear away if you've had a bad day, those offended by bad language need not enter.

It is what it says on the tin. A swearing thread. I very much doubt that someone will stumble upon it and find it offensive. For fuck sake you wouldn't go into the Butchers shop and expect to buy a twin set and pearls.

The title is "Anyone Fancy A Swearing Thread?" so you will get ladies popping in to see if there is a debate going on about about whether there should be one or not. It does not say "This IS A Swearing Thread". It asks a question and people may pop in to give an answer. Hardly their fault if they fall foul of the language by mistake given the title. I remain of the mind that insulting people who do not agree and calling them obnoxious names is NOT what shybi is about.

People may pop in here to simply have a butchers!

Lol, they may indeed. Who knows how many look and don't contribute? Condone or condemn? Anybody's guess. Perhaps if they objected and debated rather than reported we could all then find a common ground.

I am debating...

I've changed the title just to make it a bit more obvious what this thread is about. Fingers crossed people who aren't interested will just leave it alone and those who need a little NSFW rant will know where to go.

I think it generally means Not Safe For Work, but I am presuming in this context it means otherwise not suitable for other parts of the forum. I'm open to correction on this by the way :)
