I live in the middle of Cardiff, so escaping isn't particularly easy. It also depends on what sort of escape I want - I often go for a walk around Bute Park and it's amazing how peacful it can be, despite being so close to a main road. I love walking in the rain if I'm upset, so in that situation I wait until about 10pm, wrap up, plug in my ipod and just walk the streets in the rain. People think I'm mad doing that, but at that time of night peopl are really wary about even looking at you, and in the dark and the rain there are less people around anyway - I've done a 5mile walk and not seen another person, which is exactly what I want when I'm in that sort of mood.
Desperately jealous and I loooove walking in the rain since everyone else heads inside. I can't imagine what it must be like to see all that everyday. I have to hike my ass of just to get a decent view. When in home in Cape Breton the highlands are view after view. It's amazing and where I feel at home.
